Treatment for depression

Depression is a state which is much more persistent and adverse than just short episodes of disappointment and sadness. Depression usually has a long-term impact and it may last for months or even years. How psychotherapy can improve depression depends on the adopted treatment. The most effective treatments for such a disorder are cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, and group therapy. In cognitive-behavioral therapy, we help clients to review those behaviors and attitudes which lead to depression and we ask them to change such behaviors. It may also help clients have a better understanding of his feelings and perceptions about life and other people. In psychodynamics, we guide clients to figure out how his past experiences may affect his present life. Having conversation in group therapy helps subjects have a more positive attitude towards others. Clients will have an opportunity to know how others think of them and there will be a good opportunity to analyze different behaviors and conversation with others.
